The Center’s Achievements
• ISO 9001- 2008 Certificate:
The training Center is the first department of SWCC to be awarded this certificate in 1428 H. (2007), This certification was renewed in 1432 H. (20010) for a period of three years with a new issue: ISO 9001-2008 by the certificate awarding company TUV NORD

• In the year 2010, the center was internationally recognized and accredited by EDEXCEL:
A leading accreditation body in the United Kingdom. In addition, all trainers of the center were awarded the certificate of Accredited Trainer. This was done in cooperation with well- known international institutions, specialized in this field.

• Prince Mohammed Ibn Fahd Prize for performance excellence in the government sector:
In 1431 H. (2010), the center received Prince Mohammed Ibn Fahd Prize for performance excellence in the government sector, as best educational institution in the eastern province. • Inauguration of the center’s official website:
The center is the second SWCC department to set up a website. The event was presided by His Excellency the Minister of Water and Electricity, Chairman of SWCC, Engineer Abdallah Al Hosain in 1430 H. (2009, at the graduation ceremony organized for the 19th batch of the graduates of the engineers foundation program and that of the 38th batch of the foundation program for operators and technicians.
• Inauguration of the strategic plan for the center:
The center is considered the first department to have completed its strategic plan under implementation. The plan, put in action in 1431 H. aims at developing the center’s activities in line with the next envisaged privatization phase of SWCC, which included the accreditation of the center as an investing training center, specialized in desalination training.
• The Testing Center :
The first phase of this center was initiated with the aim of unifying testing methods in the center, speeding up the scoring process and eliminating human error. The team in charge of the center administers the test at end of each training session, using an electronic scoring system.
• The E-learning project:
The project’s objective is to develop e-learning training solutions to transfer knowledge, taking advantage of new techniques in the area of distance learning, thereby effectively contributing to the building of a learning organization.
